Horse Riding

HORSE TRAIL RIDES

We offer horseback riding with a difference, riding western                      style on "well trained, obedient calm and friendly" trail horses,               with various rides in to the bushveld and mountain foothills.

All the rides are accompanied by trained trail guides and                            a trained staff member.

We are just 1 hours drive from Johannesburg, Magaliesburg                    is very accessible from O.R. Tambo Airport, as well as Lanseria.

Trail ride duration times are approximate.

Our horses are suitable for all riders, If you are a total                               beginner or an experienced rider.

What to wear:                                                                                                      You are advised to wear suitable clothing; jeans, takkies or                     boots. Hats and suntan créme are essential in summer.

If it looks like it may rain or drizzle please bring a raincoat                         along as well, riding in the rain can be great fun!

Riding helmets are available on request.
                                     

Arrival time:                                                                                                     Please arrive 30minutes before your riding time to ensure that                the ride goes out on time.


Payment:
We do require a 50% deposit to confirm and secure your booking      and the balance of the money in cash on the day of your trail.

Saturdays and Sunday: 9am, 11am and 2pm

Weekdays: Monday to Fridays: 11am and 2pm 

Please Note That: Our 1 hour trail rides go out @ 9am                                        and 2pm and our 1,5 hour trail ride only goes out @ 11am

A 1 Hour Farm and scenic trail ride @ R300per person (minimum               of two riders) incl: photos on CD to take home. (1 CD per group) 

A1,5 Hour Farmland and bushveld trail ride, incl: juice half way               and photos on CD to take home (1 CD per group) @ R350per person. (minimum of two riders)   

A Fun Midweek Special: A 1,5 hour trail ride towards the beautiful Magalies mountains or river with a stop for juice and followed by a delicious picnic lunch and sparkling wine back at the ranch @ R500,     per person (minimum two riders) incl: photos on CD (1 CD per group)      

All Picnic Trail Rides and Specials Leave @ 11am 

A 2,5 hour Champagne picnic trail ride to the beautiful                   Magalies Rive @ R650per person. (minimum of two riders)                        incl: photos on CD (1 CD per group) 

 
We can take a maximum of 12 people on a trail at one time                     this allows us to ensure your safety and enjoyment on the                        trails whether you are walking, trotting or cantering. We                           always ride at  the pace that you can handle and that you                           are comfortable with.

  • A minimum of 2 riders on all trail rides.
  • Max rider weight 110kg. 
  • Booking essential.

Children`s Pony Rides and Trail Rides

We offer pony rides for children from the age of 2 to 12 years                    of age. The children are lead by our friendly and competent                   groom through through the farm. Our ponies are very quiet,                   and gentle and the grooms look after the children with care                    and love. Pony rides are a great way to introduce children to                      horses and riding. Come and meet our precious ponies and                   bring them carrots and apples as treats.

Children`s escorted pony ride of approx. 20 minutes through                   the farm...

Children can join a trail ride, and if necessary the horse will                      be led by a trained staff member to ensure their safety (extra                charge if led)

Children are always supervised by a trail guide or a  trained                    staff member on the trails and pony rides to ensure their                         safety so they can enjoy the experience.

  • Carrots or apples for your horses
  • An fun and adventurous heart
  • Extra bucks for a refreshing cold drink after the trail ride
